What you share

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your question and discuss the service you requested. Please keep general inquiries limited to what we need to help. Do not email payment card details, identification documents or medical records.

The lesson planner runs in your browser. It does not send your choices to the studio or reserve an appointment. If you download your preferences, the file is saved to your own device.

Photos and remote reviews

Remote reviews are paid through Square and submitted by email. The review form prepares an email draft in your browser; it does not upload photos, send an email or store your entries on our website. When you send your submission, we receive your contact details, receipt reference, photographs, any video, products and question to provide your requested feedback. Public use of client photographs requires separate permission; receiving a service does not require agreeing to public sharing.

If your photographs show another person, obtain their permission before sharing them with us.

Website providers

The hosting provider and external services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page request when you use the site. The current site loads fonts from Google Fonts and map software from a content delivery provider.

When you use the travel calculator, the ZIP code you enter is sent to Zippopotam.us. When the map is displayed, OpenStreetMap receives map tile requests. No street address is collected by this calculator.

We have not added advertising pixels, marketing analytics or a mailing list to this site. Hosting and third party services may use their own technical logs or necessary cookies under their policies.

Email and shopping providers

Email is handled through Proton Mail and your own email provider. Their privacy practices apply to email processing. External retailer links take you to another website, where that provider handles its own information collection, checkout and orders.

Remote review payment links take you to Square, which processes payment under its own privacy practices. We do not receive your full card details. We use relevant order and receipt information to verify payment and fulfill the review. Appointment booking and on-site photo uploads are not active.

Use, retention and your requests

We use inquiry information to respond, arrange requested services and keep relevant business records. Records may need to be retained for service, accounting or legal reasons. We do not use inquiry details to send marketing unless you separately agree.

To ask about information you have shared, request a correction or request deletion, email smuastudio@protonmail.com. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or to resolve a service matter.

Changes to this notice

We update this page when our website or information practices change. The date above identifies the latest update.
